Frequently Asked Questions at
South Hills Physical Medicine and Chiropractic

Chiropractic Questions Answered

If you’re new to natural healing, you’ll naturally have questions about visiting our office.
Here are answers to some of the questions we’re asked most frequently.

Should I expect a chiropractic adjustment to hurt?

There is no pain during a chiropractic adjustment. After an adjustment, you may experience some soreness. This is normal and lasts only a day or two. This soreness is expected because we’re moving things around that haven’t moved for a while. Your original symptoms of pain will not worsen.

Can someone who has had back surgery see a chiropractor?

Absolutely! It doesn’t matter what kind of procedures you may have had. Even if your surgeon says chiropractic won’t help, we can work with you. You may require different care types than the average patient, but we do have ways to help you.

Can chiropractic cure everything?

Chiropractic cannot cure everything. However, we find that we are able to help the majority of health issues that patients seek our help with.

Do you work with insurance companies?

We take insurance and are in-network with every major carrier, including Medicare and Medicaid. We’re even preferred providers for these companies. The processing of insurance claims will be completely handled by our insurance department.
